THESIS PROJECT 2 - PARASAUROLOPHUS

This was the second of two senior projects completed during my time in Grand Valley State University, this time via our school's Honors College instead of the art program. I chose the premise of a rigorous reconstruction of a dinosaur's anatomy out of my passion for paleontology. The subject was my favorite specimen, the late Cretaceous hadrosaur Parasaurolophus cyrtocristatus, due to my familiarity with its holotype after my many childhood visits to Chicago's Field Museum.

The completed project features multiple full-body portraits of the animal's anatomy, as well as a few closeups to showcase unique features of the animal, including its trumpeting mechanism and its hoof-like feet.
